The finely linked rings form a flexible yet durable defensive garment, while the helmet’s pointed dome and protective nasal guard reflect the martial traditions of medieval Arabia. Exhibiting natural age and patina, this ensemble embodies the craftsmanship and functional elegance of Islamic armor from the late medieval period. Chainmail 88 by 61 cm. Helmet height ca. 55 cm.
