Cuirassier saber, AN XIII model, modified in 1816, with brass fittings, a four-pronged guard that is numbered and hallmarked, pommel with an oval cap and a short, scalloped tail, wooden tang sheathed in sheepskin with twisted brass filigree, straight blade with double fuller grooves and a central ridge with a point extending to the center of the axis, hallmarks of the controllers and inspectors (illegible), back engraved “Mfture Imple de Klingenthal, November 1813,” 1816-type iron scabbard with two bands, one of which is numbered, symmetrical lyre-shaped pommel, L: 111.5 cm, blade: 95 cm.
