ALEXANDRE COVELLE IN GENEVA Gold-plated metal pocket watch, white enamel dial, black minute track, Arabic numeral minute markers painted black, Arabic numeral hour markers painted black, gold-plated Louis XV hands. Bezel set with white gemstones. Engraved case back featuring a central enamel painting of a woman bringing her hand close to a fountain. Mechanical movement with manual winding via key, balance cock re-drilled with two screws and a counter-pivot, rosette for adjusting the rate, fusee and chain system, verge escapement, marked “Alex Covelle Genève 29444.” The watch was in working order at the time of appraisal; however, there is no guarantee of future operation or the condition of the parts.
