BLONDEL IN GENEVA Silver (800 parts per thousand) savonnette pocket watch, hinged front cover in silver (800 parts per thousand), engraved with geometric motifs and an enamel miniature depicting a woman’s portrait, white enamel dial, black railway-style minute track, black Roman numeral hour markers, blued pear-shaped hands, small seconds at six o’clock. The hinged back cover in silver (800 parts per thousand) is decorated with geometric motifs; in the center is an enamel miniature depicting a portrait of a nude woman; the metal dust cover bears the inscription “Blondel à Genève.” Mechanical movement with manual winding via a pendant, lever escapement, engraved bridges. The watch was non-functional at the time of appraisal; no guarantee is provided regarding future operation or the condition of the parts. Scratches and dents on the case; numerous imperfections on the dial; traces of oxidation on the movement; scratches on the miniature. Circa 1900 Diameter 49 mm Gross weight 96.8 grams
