ANONYMOUS Double-cased metal pocket watch; the first case features a bezel engraved with floral motifs, a back engraved with foliage, and, in the center, a miniature painted on enamel depicting a man and a woman in a loving embrace. The engraved metal dial is signed Graham London; it features a raised railway-track minute track, engraved black Arabic numeral minute markers, engraved black Roman numeral hour markers, a date window at six o’clock on a gold disc, and black “Poker and Beetle” hands. Mechanical movement with manual winding via a key, decorated pillars, balance cock with two screws, re-drilled and decorated in the center with a flower, rosette for adjusting the rate, fusee and chain system, verge escapement, “GRAHAM LONDON” inscription. The watch was in working order at the time of appraisal, with no guarantee of future operation or the condition of its parts. Scratches and dents/restorations on the case; the original case has damaged decoration. This is most likely a period counterfeit, as there is no number on the mainplate and it lacks other decorative details characteristic of the English watchmaker.
