Materials: Patinated and gilt bronze, rouge marble, and metal fittings. Cataloger Note: Antique French Belle Époque bronze and rouge marble double inkwell desk set, featuring a contoured red marble base with distinctive white and dark veining. The ornate bronze framework is decorated with acanthus leaves, scrolling handles, floral medallions, and ribbon-and-reed borders. Two hinged bronze inkwells feature circular relief decoration and pinecone finials, flanking a central patinated bronze figure of a nude woman posed with her hands behind her head. The composition rests on four decorative bronze rosette feet. L. 15" x W. 8" x H. 7" Good condition, missing one glass insert.
