Marking(s): Stamped "LORD DONALD" below the 12 o'clock hour marker, and "SWISS" underneath the 60-second sub-dial at the bottom of the face. Cataloguer's Note: This item is a vintage folding belt buckle or travel purse watch, dating approximately from the 1930s to the 1950s. Known widely as a "Golfer's watch" or sports utility timepiece, it features an ingenious mechanical design where the central square clock housing pops out from its textured protective sheath. The exterior leather flap folds back to act either as a desktop stand or as a mechanism to clamp the watch securely over a belt, strap, or pocket edge for convenient, hands-free time tracking during travel and sport.
