Marking(s); notes: Signed "G. Pochini" in cursive script, incised along the dark stone edge of the base. Materials: Hand-carved Italian marble and alabaster. Cataloger Note: Large Italian marble and alabaster portrait bust titled "Bust of a Woman with a Laurel Crown," depicting an idealized young woman with delicate facial features, flowing hair, and a serene expression. The figure wears an elaborate floral and star-patterned headband surmounted by a contrasting dark laurel wreath. Her square-neck bodice features finely carved geometric and floral embroidery, showcasing intricate stonework and attention to detail.
