Juan Roldán (1940–2014), born in Seville, attended the School of Fine Arts in Seville. He was recognized as a landscape painter, focusing on the Andalusian landscape. He participated in several exhibitions, and his works are part of prestigious collections, including the Casa de Alba (Dueñas and Liria Palaces), the Spanish Royal Family, Buckingham Palace, Spanish embassies (such as those in London and Strasbourg), Endesa, and Telefónica. He received the Real Maestranza de Caballería Award (1993 / 2001), the Trepo Award (1987), the Fitur Award (1992), and the San Miguel Award (2001).
