Features a button and zipper closure and an interior lined with fabric bearing the brand’s emblem. Gold-tone hardware. In excellent condition, with slight signs of wear. Measurements: 27 x 15 x 5 cm. The Vintage Envelope Clutch is part of a tradition of Yves Saint Laurent accessories in which geometry, elegance, and functionality take center stage. Its rectangular silhouette, inspired by the shape of an envelope, and its flap closure transform a simple design into a piece with clean lines and balanced proportions. The history of this type of bag dates back at least to the early 1970s. A photograph published in *Vogue* in August 1973 features an Yves Saint Laurent envelope-style bag, confirming the presence of this style within the brand’s collection during that era.
