The Dior Mini Saddle bag is a scaled-down reinterpretation of one of the house’s most iconic designs. Originally created by John Galliano in 1999 and presented at the Spring/Summer 2000 ready-to-wear fashion show, the Saddle model draws inspiration from the equestrian world, from which it takes its characteristic curved silhouette—reminiscent of a saddle— and its distinctive asymmetrical flap. The “D”-shaped magnetic clasp, inspired by metal hardware used in saddlery, completes a design with a strong personality that quickly became a fashion icon of the early 21st century. After achieving great popularity in the early 2000s, the Saddle experienced a resurgence in 2018, when Maria Grazia Chiuri revived this design for the Dior collections Includes card and brochure.
