Measurements: 21.5 x 15 x 8 cm. The Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag holds a prominent place in the history of 20th-century leather goods. Created in 1947 in postwar Italy, it was born out of the Florentine fashion house’s desire to find innovative solutions to the shortage of traditional raw materials. Guccio Gucci, together with the brand’s artisans, turned to bamboo.
