Its history dates back to the famous 2.55 bag, created in February 1955, whose fundamental innovation was the addition of a chain to carry it over the shoulder and free a woman’s hands. In 1983, Lagerfeld revisited this concept and transformed it into the Classic Flap, introducing the signature swivel clasp featuring the interlocking double C and establishing a silhouette that would become an international icon.
