Raimondi, Marcantonio The Virgin with the Cradle: Mary with the Child, accompanied by Sts. Anne and Elizabeth. Copperplate engraving after Raphael. 23.6 x 17.6 cm. Vol. XIV, p. 70, 63, Delaborde 11 I (of II), Shoemaker 49. The so-called “Madonna with the Cradle” is associated with several paintings by Raphael that were executed between 1518 and 1520 by Giulio Romano and Giovanni Francesco Penni. Very good print, cut to the partially visible border line; trimmed at the bottom to just the tray, with slight loss of detail. Signs of age and wear; dusty; rubbed along the outer edges; minor nicks at the bottom; the Virgin is squared; small mounting residues on the reverse; otherwise still in good condition. Also included is an etching after Parmigianino, “The Mystical Marriage of St. Catherine” (cf. B.
