Longhi, Alessandro Portrait of Sebastiano Ricci; Portrait of Giovanni Battista Piazzetta. 2 etchings. Each approx. 19.1 x 14.7 cm. Le Blanc, nos. 4–27. Marked “Komet”; “Tre Lune.” From the 1762 “Compendio delle Vite de’ Pittori Veneziani istorici,” which brings together a total of 24 portraits of Venetian artists; here without the separately printed frames. Magnificent prints with narrow margins around the clearly visible plate edges. Slightly dusty and with occasional spots; the portrait of Ricci has a vertical crease on the right; other minimal creases and signs of wear; otherwise in uniformly very fine condition.
