Callot, Jacques La petite treille. Etching. 8.2 x 16.2 cm. Meaume 710, Lieure 1428 II (of III). Callot’s last etching: “A delightful little piece, the master’s final thought before his death” (Lieure, p. 98). An excellent print of this very rare sheet (Lieure R.R.R.: “Extrêmement rare”), with a knurled edge and predating the slight retouching of the plate. Slightly browned and spotted, with minor vertical crease marks on the right; otherwise in very good condition.
