19 - Daniel Rădulescu, The Fate Architect, steel and brass, The Fate Architect explores the influences that shape our choices and our freedom to determine our own destiny. Four arrows pierce four faces incorporated into an arch, symbolising the voices, expectations and pressures of those around us. At the base of the sculpture, arrows pointing downwards represent decisions already made, paths already travelled and the impossibility of changing the past. The work conveys a message about free will: no matter how many voices surround us, the direction we choose to take is ours alone. The sculpture is accompanied by a metal envelope containing a secret hidden within the work, revealed by the artist to offer its future collector an additional perspective on its meaning, 220 x 110 x 40 cm
