Stockholm, 1805. 8vo, sheepskin, plain spine with decoration (contemporary binding). XXXI + [I] + 196 pp. Three folded engraved plates at the end. This new survey in Lapland, which corrected the earlier French measurements by Maupertuis, made it possible, by comparison, to deduce an average ellipticity for the Earth’s equatorial radius.
