In-8°, red long-grain morocco, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, smooth spine with decoration, gilt edges on endpapers, gray suede lining and endpapers, original cover preserved (Loynel). “Second edition, revised and corrected based on the original editions and preceded by a critical letter by Ch. GIRAUD.” A portrait by ANNEDOUCHE (printed as an illustration), a portrait based on EISEN, and four plates (printed as illustrations) engraved by REBEL; twelve vignettes in the text.
