In-4°, sheepskin, ribbed spine adorned with a title label in red morocco (19th-century binding). Part One (the only part published) of this work commissioned by the government for the purpose of public education. 120 ff. (out of 180) illustrated with half-page engravings based on MIRYS’s drawings. From the Loynel Library, with an ex-libris. The frontispiece, title page, eleven pages of introductory text, and 60 illustrated folios are missing; some minor damage to the binding; some foxing.
