A collection of 131 photographs by Robert Frank taken in the 1950s, including 22 original prints from the photo essay titled *Americans*, supplemented by 100 previously unseen images. Born in Switzerland, he emigrated to the United States in 1947 and began his career as a magazine photographer. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1955 and went on to direct numerous films.
