Given complete artistic freedom, Lindbergh has assembled a previously unseen selection that sheds unexpected light on his colossal body of work. Recognized worldwide, Lindbergh’s photographs have left an indelible mark on contemporary culture and have been redefining the parameters of fashion photography for 40 years. Here, the photographer experiments with his own body of work and tells new stories while remaining true to his signature style. By combining images that are both iconic and previously unseen, he challenges his own icons and presents intimate moments shared with figures who have been close to him for years. Among them are Nicole Kidman, Uma Thurman, Robin Wright, Jessica Chastain, Jeanne Moreau, Naomi Campbell, Charlotte Rampling, and many others. This XL-format volume features more than 150 photographs, many of which have never been published or appeared only briefly, typically commissioned by fashion magazines such as *Vogue*, *Harper’s Bazaar*, *Interview*, *Rolling Stone*, *W Magazine*, or *The Wall Street Journal*. A lengthy conversation between Lindbergh and Kunstpalast director Felix Krämer, as well as a tribute from his close friend Wim Wenders, offer a fresh perspective on the creation of the exhibition.
