Twin Palms, 2007. Reprint of this important book of photographs taken in the 1980s in Southeast Asia. Hardcover, like-new in original plastic wrap. – Mark RUWEDEL (born 1954). *Message from the Exterior*. Mack, 2016. Like new, in original plastic wrap. In this book, Mark Ruwedel documents the traces left by humans in their futile attempts to live on the edge of the desert, east of Los Angeles. Abandoned houses, shacks made of planks, huts cobbled together from odds and ends—he compiles an inventory of a very particular form of vernacular architecture, somewhere between humor and despair. The first series, *Desert Houses*, features 68 residential structures, while the second, *Dusk*, captures the sense of desolation these houses exude at twilight, just after the sun has disappeared behind the horizon. – Julian SCHNABEL (born 1951). Polaroids. Prestel, 2010. Hardcover, text in English. Like new, in original plastic wrap. Julian Schnabel is an American Neo-Expressionist painter and filmmaker. Since 2010, he has exhibited in London, Milan, and Paris a selection of Polaroid photographs taken since 2002, which he retouches with paint to better highlight their key features. These photographs were taken with an imposing 50 × 60 format view camera specially built by Polaroid. – Larry SULTAN (1946–2009). Katherine Avenue. Steidl, 2010. Text in English and German. Hardcover with dust jacket, like new, in original plastic wrap. This book brings together L. Sultan’s three best-known series, photographed in California’s San Fernando Valley, where the artist grew up: “Pictures from Home,” images of his parents in the 1980s and 1990s, their home, and their experience of the American Dream; “The Valley,” on the settings of the porn industry; and “Homeland,” on the presence of Mexican laborers in the region’s idyllic landscapes. In collaboration with the Thomas Zander Gallery in Cologne and the Kestnergesellschaft in Hanover, where exhibitions were held.
