15 - Uwe OMMER (born in 1943). Do it yourself, 2007. 10 original Polaroids, 10 x 8 cm. Signed and dated. Framed in 3 pine glass mounts, 32 x 25.5 cm. Sexy self-portraits of everyday women. Inspired by a babysitter whom he caught taking pictures of herself with her Polaroid camera in front of her bathroom mirror, photographer Uwe Ommer came up with the idea of publishing a book of erotic self-portraits by amateur photographers. Whether they asked him for help with elements such as lighting or the setting, or did without his input entirely, the models were given complete freedom to strike romantic, suggestive, or simply natural poses. Bibliography: Uwe Ommer, *Do it yourself*, Taschen, 2011.
