Charles-Maurice de TALLEYRAND (1754–1838) Letter, Paris, 8 Ventôse, Year VI (February 27, 1798), to Citizen Rivals, envoy of the French Republic to Hesse-Kassel; 2 pages, quarto size, printed text, vignette. Circular from the Minister of Foreign Affairs concerning “the loan authorized for the expedition to England.” Enclosed is a handwritten letter from Baron Alexandre de TALLEYRAND, Nevers, December 13, 1829, to Baron Hyde de Neuville. Also included is a printed copy of the will of Louis XVI.
