First edition of the French translation, illustrated with 12 line engravings (not part of the text), reproduced from the 1828 German edition published by Röhling. This is the very first travel guide published by the famous Baedeker company. Missing the final map; only the first fold (of 7) has been preserved. Worn binding, foxing and slight water stain, small ink spots on the title page.
