In-8, green Bradel-style cardboard binding (Ateliers Laurenchet). First edition of this treatise on generation and embryology by Jacques-André Millot (1738–1811), Marie-Antoinette’s obstetrician. (Caillet, no. 7570; Gay-Lemonnyer, vol. I, col. 286.) It is illustrated with 6 plates, including one in black-and-white depicting Adam and Eve; the other 5, printed in bistre, depict malformations and deformities in humans and animals.
