ALEXANDER OF APHRODISIA (pseudonym). Problemata Alexandri Aphrodisei. Problemata Aristotelis. Problemata Plutarchi. No place, no date [in the colophon]: Venice, Alberto Vercellese, May 26, 1501. Folio, marbled half-basane with small red cloth corners, plain spine with decoration (binding from the second half of the 19th century). A rare post-incunabulum Venetian edition of the *Problemata* of Pseudo-Alexander of Aphrodisias, in the Latin translation by the humanist Giorgio Valla. These texts on the mysteries of nature, science, and medicine are followed here by the *Problemata* of Pseudo-Aristotle, translated by Theodore of Gaza, and those of Plutarch, in the version by Joannes Petrus Lucensis. Early annotations and marginal marks in the margins of a few leaves. Due to an error, folio 76 appears twice, and folio 77 is missing. Slight water stain at the corner of a few folios; light foxing; the last folio has been restored (upper corner and lower half).
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
