Eberhard, Pre-Extrafort Chronograph, No. 197764, probably circa 1940. A rare and beautiful single-push-button chronograph in yellow gold with two sub-dials, a hinged case, a black dial with gold lettering, an outer minute track and telemeter scale, a snail-pattern tachymeter scale, Breguet numerals, and gold hands. Functions: Hours, minutes, small seconds at 9 o’clock, and 30-minute totalizer. Hinged case, olive-shaped pushers, white hand-wound Valjoux 65 caliber movement. Leather strap with a gold-plated metal pin buckle. Condition: In excellent overall condition; movement was functioning at the time of catalog compilation; a few scratches on the dial that are barely visible to the naked eye. Black dials with Breguet numerals are rare. Diameter: 39 mm A rare and very fine Pre-Extrafort yellow gold monopusher chronograph with two registers, hinged case, black dial, outer minute track and telemeter scale, snail-patterned tachymeter scale, Breguet numerals, and gold-colored hands. Functions: Hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds at 9 o’clock, and 30-minute register. Hinged case, olive-shaped pushers, white-finished manual-winding Valjoux 65 movement. Later leather strap fitted with an unsigned gold-colored pin buckle. Condition: In excellent overall condition; the movement was running at the time of cataloging; a few scratches on the dial, barely visible to the naked eye. Black dials with Breguet numerals are rare.
