John Trumbull - Great Siege of Gibraltar engraved by J Rogers 1853. This antique engraving print, published John Tallis & Company, depicts a surprise raid carried out by the garrison during the Great Siege of Gibraltar. Artist was John Trumbull and the engraver was John Rogers. This depicts the successful counter-attack by the British garrison on the morning of November 27, 1781, during the siege of Gibraltar by Spanish and French forces between 1779 and 1783.
