A lyre is visible in the background. Presumably a depiction of the muse Erato. Originally set as a brooch in a frame with scrollwork on the sides and floral engravings. Brooch setting removed (solder visible); pendant loop added later. Circa 1860s/1870s. H. 4.6 cm. W. 5.0 cm. 10 g.
