Alois Carigiet 1902 Trun 1985 Bell Procession. 1958 Mixed media on paper Signed and dated lower right: A. Carigiet 58 Framed 34.5 × 45 cm (inside dimensions) The 1958 work “Cowbell Procession” depicts a traditional winter custom from Graubünden. During the cowbell procession, participants parade through the streets carrying large cowbells and bells, whose ringing is meant to symbolically drive away winter and welcome spring. The motif is closely linked to Carigiet’s interest in traditional customs and rural life in his native Graubünden. Auction date: November 28, 2026 Approximate auction time: 3:07 p.m. CET
