(with illustration no. 115); Andrea Busiri Vici d’Arcevia, Peter, Hendrik, and Giacomo Van Lint: Three Antwerp Painters of the 17th and 18th Centuries Working in Rome, 1987, p. 138 (with illustration no. 153) According to An Zwollo, this harbor view may be the earliest dated work by Hendrik van Lint. She speculates that the painting, which follows the Flemish landscape tradition as shaped by Jan Brueghel the Elder and Bonaventura Peeters, was created in his hometown of Antwerp.
