Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn 1606 Leiden – 1669 Amsterdam Abraham Caressing Isaac. c. 1637 Etching Signed on the lower left of the plate: Rembrandt f. Framed 11.3 × 8.4 cm (sheet size) Statens Museum for Kunst, Den Kongelige Kobberstiksamling (The Royal Collection of Engravings), Copenhagen, Lugt 1635 (stamp on the reverse and “DUBLET” stamped below); private collection, Switzerland This print comes from the Royal Collection of Engravings in Copenhagen, which is one of the oldest collections of prints of its kind. A note on the reverse reading “Afgivet fra Kobberstiksamlingen August 1922” (released from the Collection of Copper Engravings in August 1922) suggests that the sheet was likely removed from the collection at that time as a duplicate and subsequently entered the art market. The sheet is discolored and has slight foxing. Auction date: November 27, 2026 Estimated auction time: 6:35 p.m. CET
