Width 19 cm, height 37 cm Galerie Au temps qui passe, Genolier, 1999 (proof of purchase available); private collection, Switzerland See Xavier Febrés, Rosa Serra, Barcelona 1999 (p. 43) Rosa Serra. Sculptures, Galerie Au temps qui passe, Genolier, October 23–December 19, 1999 See also: monograph (Rosa Serra, Barcelona 1999). The Catalan sculptor Rosa Serra is one of the best-known figures in contemporary Spanish sculpture. Her work is characterized by an abstract, organic formal language in which the human figure plays a particularly central role. She gained international recognition, among other things, for her sculptures for the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and for the “Suite Olympique” at the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne. This bronze sculpture, *Vertical III*, is also characterized by a minimalist, vertically oriented composition that emphasizes the interplay of volume, contour, and movement. In 2008, the artist was awarded the Catalan cultural prize, the Creu de Sant Jordi. Auction Date: November 27, 2026 Approximate Auction Time: 6:16 p.m. CET
