After completing his training, he worked for several years in the studio of Karl Geiser, whose work had a lasting influence on him. The human figure was at the center of his artistic practice, which he captured in numerous portraits, nudes, and groups of figures. His bronze sculptures are characterized by a lively surface treatment and an immediate, naturalistic conception of the human body. This sculpture, likely created around 1970, depicts a standing female figure whose unclothed body is framed by a long cloak draped over her shoulders.
