Flavio Poli "Z 2304" Vase Murano, designed around 1937. Designed by Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte. Model "Z 2304" in "grigio oro." Gray glass with fused gold leaf. Spherical body with diagonally twisted ribs and a short, slightly flared neck on a base ring, the latter of which is damaged. Signs of age and wear. Height 29.5 cm Marc Heiremans, *Seguso Vetri d’Arte*, p. 203 (illustration of this specific example). A very rare model. Flavio Poli (1900–1984) became artistic director at Seguso Vetri d’Arte in 1934. These heavy vessels from the late 1930s, interspersed with gold leaf, are among his early works, predating the well-known Sommerso vases of the 1950s.
