Rolex Submariner 40 mm / Steel / Automatic / Reference: 16610 / circa 1989 / needs servicing. Professional Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date "Submariner" diver's watch. Stainless steel case with a unidirectional rotating diver’s bezel featuring a black aluminum insert. Black dial with tritium luminous hour markers and Mercedes-style hands, as well as a date window at 3 o’clock with a Cyclops lens. Movement: Rolex automatic caliber 3135. Sapphire crystal. Screw-down crown and screw-down case back. Serial number: L280474. Oyster bracelet. Bracelet length with watch: approx. 18.5 cm. Box and outer carton included. The Reference 16610 was introduced in 1987 and remained in production until 2010. It is considered a classic transitional model in the Submariner line, combining the traditional design with an aluminum bezel and a slim Oyster case with modern technology such as sapphire crystal and the proven Caliber 3135.
