Interesting French spindle watch with chain and snail, featuring a quarter-repeater “à toc” and a “revolutionary” 30-day calendar (“Republican Calendar”). White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals and Arabic minute track, as well as gold hands. Date indicator with a hand emerging from the center (30). Gold-plated spindle movement with chain and worm gear, signed “D.P.Monnier à Paris / N.772.” Three-arm monometallic balance wheel beneath a beautifully crafted openwork bridge. Smooth rose gold case; gold-plated inner case back. Case number 4537. With winding key. Two red plastic dots attached to the edge to open the watch. Key is not original.
