Pocket watch with erotic automaton 56 mm / 750 gold - DLG / key-wound / probably first half of the 19th century / 134 g / in working order. Pocket watch with a hidden erotic automaton. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals for the hours and blued Fleches hands. Gold-plated and finely engraved cylinder movement. Three-arm monometallic balance wheel beneath a finely openworked bridge. Erotic automaton under a cover on the inner case. The cover is opened via a delicate lever at the 11 o’clock position. The automaton is activated by pressing the pendant. The automaton figures, crafted from three different gold alloys, are very finely made. Rose gold-colored case in 18-karat gold and Double Laminé Gold (DLG) for the inner cover. The outer cover is engraved and guilloché—sunburst pattern and cartouche (empty). Case middle section is knurled. Case number: 11,939. Enamel dial with a fine hairline crack at 10 o’clock. Chipping near the winding hole and along the edge at 6 o’clock.
