Pediment France, Régence period, circa 1720. Wood, openwork carved and gilded. A massive shell motif rises above a base decorated with bas-reliefs of flowers and acanthus leaves. The composition is strictly symmetrical. On the left and right sides of the base are two winged horses with fish tails. The object likely served as the pediment of a mirror.
