Shell Cameo Lamp Probably Italy, 20th century. Helmet snail with fine cameo carving. The central image depicts a circle of dancing putti around a tree; above them, additional putti in the branches, framed by a string of pearls. Below, a continuous vine frieze featuring a winged figure. Mounted on a dark-patinated metal base, electrified. The rim has a crack and small chips; the surface shows craquelure in places.
