Beautiful 18th-Century Neapolitan Cabinet in Carey Carved, ebonized wood with marquetry and gilt-metal inlays. Dimensions: 67 cm x 120 cm x 42 cm; table 75 cm x 126 cm x 50 cm, total 142 cm x 126 cm x 50 cm. The piece combines a chest of drawers with a matching table, structured in two sections: the upper part features multiple drawers arranged symmetrically around a central temple with paired columns, a pediment, and a niche containing a gilded figure. The inlaid details, tortoiseshell inlays, and the rich goldwork on the handles highlight the sumptuousness of the ensemble. The table, with Solomonic legs joined by wrought-iron crossbars, reinforces the visual balance and courtly elegance. The craftsmanship demonstrates the meticulous workmanship typical of 18th-century Castilian workshops, where the chest reached its zenith as a piece of representative furniture. Its balance between architecture and ornamentation makes it a paradigmatic example of Spanish Baroque taste.
