Lot of 10 small decorative columns in pink marble. Europe. Late 19th century. Carved and polished red and white marble. A pair of small columns with a veined red marble shaft and a composite capital in white marble, topped by a circular pedestal of the same material. The arrangement of the elements, inspired by classical orders, combines proportion and elegance, making these pieces ideal for ornamental use or as supports for sculptures or vases. The treatment of the stone, with visible veins and well-polished surfaces, highlights the quality of the material and the skill of the craftsmanship. These columns reflect the eclectic historicist taste of the last third of the 19th century, when the reinterpretation of classical models was widespread in interior design. 46 x 10 x 10 cm. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
