Three hairpins, Gan, Burkina Faso, 19th–20th centuries Copper alloy. Dimensions: 15, 16, and 19 cm in length. Set of three ornamental pins made of copper alloy, featuring an elongated structure and stylized, geometric decorative finials. The pieces display handcrafted workmanship rooted in the Gan metalworking tradition, featuring slender profiles and slight variations in form. The surface retains a dark patina with greenish and earthy tones, as well as oxidation and irregularities characteristic of the metal alloy and the passage of time. Lot stored in an international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous repairs. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
