Carved wooden jug. Spanish School. 16th century. A solid-wood piece, likely of Asturian-Leonese or Galician origin, carved in great detail around its entire perimeter. It features high-relief vine leaf decoration arranged in a continuous, intertwined pattern. The rustic side handle suggests a practical use related to domestic or monastic life. The workmanship reflects a style typical of the rural Hispanic Renaissance, where plant motifs were interpreted with ornamental freedom. The surface wear and the robust form give it a strong sculptural presence. Dimensions: 24 x 23 x 31 cm. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
