An urban perspective of the Toledo town of La Puebla de Montalbán, centered on the arch connecting two streets, under which people and a cart pass. The composition, structured in depth, stands out for its linear precision and architectural balance. The firm, controlled strokes, accompanied by touches of wash, allow planes to be distinguished and details to be defined with restraint. The handwritten inscription with the name of the place and the artist’s signature, “Marcot,” dated 1969, confirms its authenticity. This type of drawing is part of the documentary and costumbrista tradition of the 20th-century Basque School, which sought to capture urban profiles with historical and aesthetic sensitivity. The work combines technical rigor with a nostalgic approach to the built landscape. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions.
