Opaline vase with a gilt bronze mount. French School. 19th century. Veined opaline in shades of white and garnet with a gilt bronze mount. Dimensions: 34 x 20 x 18 cm. The body has a sinuous shape and a curled upper rim, supported by a gilt bronze base with curved legs and dragon-shaped handles. The combination of materials and the vibrant colors accentuate the piece’s luxurious and ornamental character. This type of opaline, highly prized during the 19th century, was produced in French and Bohemian workshops and is distinguished by its milky transparency and Rococo-inspired mounts, reflecting the decorative refinement characteristic of 19th-century European art. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
