Sculptural group of folk musicians, Spanish school, 18th century Modeled terracotta. Measures 104 x 80 x 66 cm. Sculptural group featuring two folk figures on a rocky base: a standing male figure plays a wind instrument held aloft, while another crouches beside him with a drum. The figures are depicted in motion, with bent legs and turned bodies, and exhibit eroded surfaces that retain traces of modeling on their faces, hair, and clothing. The composition rises from the irregular base to the central figure, which dominates the group. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
