Flemish Virgin, Flemish school, 20th century Polychrome sculpture in paste or resin. A Gothic-inspired female figure with delicate drapery and a vertical stylization characteristic of medieval Flemish models, reinterpreted in contemporary times. The Virgin is crowned and dressed in a red tunic and a blue mantle with ample folds, holding an attribute that is now partially lost. The brilliant polychromy and ornamental refinement evoke the Central European devotional tradition. Dimensions: 52 x 19 x 11 cm. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed.
